Insurance brokerage near Palatine is looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their team. This role requires strong bookkeeping experience ideally within the insurance industry. MUST have experience with TAM/Applied Systems - NO EXCEPTIONS. This role is TEMP TO HIRE.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Review invoices weekly, write checks, compile records for accounting firm for year end, process MISC-1099 forms
- Submit employee commission schedule for review
- Collections and credit resolution (very minimal)
- Monthly reporting
- Filing of all billing and payroll records
- Manage bank deposits, transfers, and reconciliations
- Sales tax, and new hire reports
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the President
- 2+ years of experience in Bookkeeping, ideally out of insurance industry
- TAM/Applied Systems experience REQUIRED
- Familiarity with insurance lingo/terms
- Ability to work temp to hire.
