Job Description

Large Non-Profit Christian Organization is in need of temporary help for annual mission project for the holiday season.  There is ONE (1) Mailroom Associate opening.

Estimated length of assignment will be FOUR (4) weeks:  November 23rd - December 21st.   

MUST BE ABLE TO COMMIT TO DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT WITHOUT ABSENCE.  

HOURS:   Mondays - Saturdays: 

  • First shift ONLY:  8am - 3:45pm (minus 30 minute lunch:  7.25 hrs/day) - 1 opening
  • Mandatory OT:  3 -3.5 hrs/week
  • Sundays: OFF

 

SUMMARY
Responsible for collecting, sorting, and organizing the OCC shoebox donations and preparing paperwork
to securely transfer them to security personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepare the previous night’s donations from the warehouse floor in accordance with the Offsite
    Mailroom Manual and OCC Processing Center policies and procedures.
  • Accurately complete all paperwork outlined by OCC and the armored courier service to ensure the
    security of OCC donations.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the OCC Processing Center Quality Control Manager.
  • Sustain a strong and outgoing personality to represent Operation Christmas Child in a positive and
    helpful way.
  • Must be multi-task oriented and display proven organizational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; or up to one month related experience. Experience in banking or
similar industry preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
No certificates, licenses, or registrations are required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical
procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and to apply
concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an
extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract
and concrete variables.
